ABOUT AMANDA
My attitude towards my clients is compassionate, non-judgemental, and curious. I approach therapy with a social justice lens and am culturally sensitive. I value transparency and authenticity in my practice and keep clients clued in on what approach I am using and why. I tend to elicit feedback from clients in order to ensure they are benefitting from therapy and are getting their needs met. If they are needing some changes in therapy, I adjust accordingly.
I draw from multiple theories/modalities in order to meet the unique needs of each client. Sometimes clients are looking for coping skills or practical strategies, sometimes they are looking for insights, sometimes they are ready to delve into deeper trauma work, and sometimes they simply want someone to talk to. I am receptive to the needs of each individual, unique person I with whom I have the privilege to get to know.
