ABOUT APRIL
I’m a licensed mental health counselor who deeply believes in the power of authentic connection and creating a safe, compassionate space. My approach is grounded in long-term, insight-oriented therapy, with a foundation in feminist theory and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I work with adults navigating life with remnants of abuse and trauma, as well as those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m here to help you uncover and explore the deeper patterns that shape your relationships, behaviors, and sense of self.
I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and offer trauma-informed care to those healing from painful or overwhelming experiences. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we are truly seen and supported. I meet you where you are, honoring the full complexity of your story, energy, and intersecting identities. In session, we can explore your life experiences and explorations in relation to all aspects of your identity, including your gender, sexuality, race, economics, and spiritual or personal philosophy.
Whether you’re seeking to understand yourself more deeply, move through a difficult chapter, or reconnect with your own inner strength, I am here to walk alongside you—gently, intuitively, and with respect for your pace and your process.
